Earlier in the year, Business Gateway hosted a programme of webinars on business sustainability and support for childminders, which took place during February and March.
Due to the limited spaces available to attend the live webinars, organisers were aware that not everyone would be able to attend and, as a result, one of the sessions was recorded, so that all childminders could access the session and hear from the experts at Business Gateway.

The session covers areas including Financial Management, Digital, Business Growth and Business Development – and aimed specifically at childminders in Scotland, the webinar will:
- get you thinking about where your business is today
- reflect on the impacts of the past two years
- explore what you need to do to move forward
- get you thinking about what you do next
- help you understand what changes you need to make, i.e., marketing, income and costs
- look at what support do you need to make this happen
This initial programme of support was made available to services delivering school-age childcare and childminding services, which were identified in the Scottish Government’s Financial Sustainability Health Check as being most likely to be experiencing significant concerns regarding their business sustainability.
