SSSC’s Code of Practice is changing

SSSC’s Code of Practice is changing
From 1 November 2016, SSSC will launch a revised Code of Practice for Social Service Workers, including childminders.

Childminders come under the category of 'social service workers' and therefore the code of practice laid out by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) applies.  Under these rules, childminders are obligated to 'take responsibility for maintaining and improving their skills'.

From 1 November 2016, SSSC will launch a revised Code of Practice for Social Service Workers and Employers. To make sure you meet the terms of the revised Code of Practice, please read and download the code from the SSSC website.
