Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is pleased to invite applications for the post of Head of Childminding Services.
The successful applicant will work as part of the Leadership Team in a senior management position within the Scottish Childminding Association contributing to the Association’s overall policy development, strategic planning and budgeting preparation and control.
You will undertake designated areas of national policy work, leading on practice development which will
require involvement with relevant national agencies within the early learning and childcare field.
You will provide support to staff and services already established and will lead on the promotion and
inclusion of childminders in all aspects of the development of the childcare sector in Scotland.
To be considered you'll have an appetite for the advancement of learning and development for the
childminding sector and a drive and passion for the provision of quality childcare.
Excellent organisational and inter-personal skills are required as well as a proven track record of negotiating, applying for and securing funding. Enthusiasm, self-motivation, drive and highly developed written and oral communication skills are essential.
The post is full time 36 hrs per week and will be office/home based. Regular attendance will be required at SCMA’s Head Office in Stirling.
Starting Salary: Principal Officer PT 51-54, £44,593 - £47,767.
