Scottish Childminding Association is proud to announce their new Silver award as part of their status as Investors in People.
As part of our regular Investors in People (IIP) re-assessment, SCMA was awarded silver status in December 2016, which means SCMA is achieving the IIP Standard and beyond.
The IIP Standard is made up of nine indicators, each sitting under one of three criteria: Leading, Supporting and Improving. Organisations are assessed on how closely they meet these criteria through a performance model of progression.
There are four stages of progression: 'Developed', 'Established', 'Advanced' and 'High Performing'.
Benchmarked against global industry practice, to achieve silver accreditation requires all nine indicators at ‘developed’ level and seven of the nine at ‘advanced’ level.
Anne Condie, Head of Childminding Services, said: “I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone at SCMA for their commitment and on-going support - especially those who participated in interviews last year to ensure we secured this award.”
Investors in People is the standard for people management and the mark of a great company. SCMA hopes to build on our current accreditation and work with their staff to continually improve their standards over the coming years.
Well done SCMA!
