Retrospective PVG Checks

The Care Inspectorate has issued an email reminder regarding retrospective PVG checks.

Some childminders have contacted us concerned this means they need to renew/update their PVG. We want to clarify that this is not the case. 

The email is to remind you there is a deadline date of 29 October to enroll on the PVG scheme if you haven’t already done so.  

If you are unsure whether you have enrolled on the PVG scheme, or if you are yet to register, please contact the Care Inspectorate Enquiry Line on 0345 600 9527. 

If you are already enrolled on the PVG scheme you can disregard the email.
