Graeme McAlister, Chief Executive, Scottish Childminding Association, said,
“We are aware of the First Minister’s announcement regarding schools and local authority nurseries in Scotland closing at the end of this week. Childminders are not being asked to close at this time and Ms Sturgeon noted the possible role which childminders and private nurseries might be asked to play in supporting the provision of emergency childcare for key workers.
"We have a scheduled call with the Scottish Government this afternoon and we will update childminders after this”.
