Each year SCMA makes a small donation to charity, and this year the SCMA Scottish Executive Board has chosen FAIR to receive our festive gift.
FAIR stands for Fairness, Acceptance, Inclusion and Respect, and is an organisation that works to improve inclusion, fairness, and acceptance for children with additional support needs in local communities in and around Oban, Lorn and the Islands.
FAIR’s mission is to change and improve access, inclusion and support for children with a range of additional needs, and their families, in their local area. They are passionate about our children being included and valued as members of the community – and through fundraising, raising awareness and offering activities and events, they can provide a range of opportunities that are inclusive for all.

Staff Training Day
SCMA will be closed for staff training on Tuesday 3 December. If you need to contact SCMA, please email
information@childminding.org, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
SCMA Festive Opening Hours
SCMA Head Office will close at 12 noon on Friday 20 December for the festive period, re-opening as normal on Monday 6 January 2025.
If you need to renew your SCMA membership, insurance or place any orders, you can still do so, using our 24/7 shop via the
Membership Dashboard. Any orders placed on, or after Friday 20 December, will not be dispatched until we return on Monday 6 January 2025.
If you have an emergency and need to speak to someone at SCMA, please call our Helpline (01786 449063) where you can leave a message, and someone will call you back.
