Children in Scotland want the voices of young people to shape its work
The national children’s charity, Children in Scotland, is seeking young people aged 8–25, who are interested in working with them to improve the lives of children and young people living in Scotland.

The voices and experiences of children and young people are critical in helping this charity shape their services and make the improvements needed in their lives across the country. They understand the importance of listening to children and young people, and the adults in their lives, about issues that impact on them and work with different organisations to make sure that children’s voices are heard.

Children in Scotland want to create spaces for children and young people to enjoy their rights, including the right to have a say in decisions that affect their lives. This is why they are developing an advisory group, made up of children and young people, to help shape their work and make sure that they are listening and reacting to their views.

Taking part is open to everyone and Children in Scotland is especially interested in hearing from those who have not done this kind of work before and would like the chance to participate and share their ideas.

CLICK HERE to download an information flyer, which includes details on how to apply. The deadline is Sunday 11 June, and Children in Scotland will cover all travel and expenses incurred for those taking part. If you know anyone with additional support needs and feel that it would be useful for them to chat to a member of the team or meet on Skype/in person before applying, they can make arrangements for that, so please let them know.

If you have any questions, please call 0131 313 2322 or email the team at Children in Scotland on BeHeard@childreninscotland.org.uk.
