Replacing the UK Government’s Healthy Start Vouchers, ‘Best Start Foods’ from Social Security Scotland provides low income families on certain benefits with £17.00 every four weeks during pregnancy and for every child under three to spend on a range of healthy foods.
There many children and families across Scotland who could benefit from these payments and offer a flexible way of buying healthy foods. You or someone you know could be eligible, and benefitting from this extra support, so please help us spread the word.
With Best Start Foods, payments will increase to £34.00 for children under one, and to provide a more convenient and flexible way of buying healthy foods Social Security Scotland has replaced the previous paper vouchers with a new payment card.
